Glad it's not just me that has a spam problem!

Looks like some spam machine has finally caught up with the forum. It's difficult to stop them these days.

I play around with a website that has what's on listings and, fortunately, I have to manually approve the listings before they appear -otherwise I'd be swamped by similar postings to the ones appearing here.

Hopefully someone will be able to block the sender on here soon!

Martyn - I already sent a report on this nonsense. Hopefully, it will all vanish soon.

Me too. I have just sent John Riley a message about it. I am sure he will delete the offending posts and block the sender.

The spammer has now been banned and all his posts removed.

There have always been spammers
It's just down to timing as to when one of us gets online and nukes their posts

General advise is to not reply to them - saves a lot of bother in tidying up!

I'm just back in and it's all been done. When there are spam messages, it's best just to leave it to us to tidy it up. It won't be long before one of us picks it up and it saves multiple reports and messages. Of course if it doesn't get picked up, then do please let us know.

It's also very helpful if we resist the temptation to quote spam in a post, because then that needs removing as well as the spam....
Best regards, John
