I don't think it will be Pentax, but not entirely sure ! First of my cataract replacements.

Hopefully see you on the other side.

Wishing you the best Peter.

Trust in those that are skilled at their trade.

Best regards

The things people will do to make it easier to see though a viewfinder ...

Hope it goes well. It's rumoured that recovery is aided by adopting a comfortable seated position in an armchair accompanied by a bottle of good wine.

Having had eye surgery myself earlier in the year I know what a difference it can make.
All the best Peter.

All the best and hopefully in a few days you will begin to see things more clearly. You will be amazed at the vision improvement and colours you havent seen for years.
All the best David

Good luck. We are rooting for you.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

Thank you all for the very kind wishes.

My right eye which is having the lens replaced today has always been my worst vision-wise (I always use my left eye with the camera)

It is only in the last 4 months I have begun to notice a change (cloudiness). My optician has been telling me for a few years that at some point I will need the cataract operation and now is the time.

They will do the left eye too in a few weeks not because it needs it now, but because it will even up the vision (I am a - 8 !)

I am quite looking forward to the op.

As with all the other comments, Peter, all the best. From a couple of friends who have had this op, the difference afterwards is unbelievable. 'I didn't realise...' about colour, clarity and so on were just some of the comments.

Be well and take care.
Be well, stay safe.
