Past week of Astro
I have made some fumbling attempts with a DSLR and have nothing like this, so I at least appreciate the effort need to get there.
Print them large I say, especially the Veil nebula (it reminds me of a Klingon warship).

Very impressive images. Well done. I like your Andromeda image the most. But I too have been out shooting Orion as well as it is that time of the year.
Like you, I shoot astro with a Canon, but I use some of my Pentax 645 glass as well with using an adaptor.
I am more than happy to post some images tacked onto this thread if you are happy with that.

There's something beautiful and awe-inspiring about astrophotography.
I am also happy for you to tag some on this thread. I think you'd get moreviews with a new thread tho!

The processing is also so so good, especially the crispiness of the Rosette and Veil images.

What you need are lenses, more lenses, bigger lenses, better lenses, faster lenses, vintage lenses and when you have these, your pictures will be perfect!

These are my astro shots taken over the last week, but not shot with a Pentax. I'll be honest... I have an astro modded Canon 600D that I use mostly, and that is what these have been shot with. I am pposting them as I really wanna show you guys what I am doing. I will do some with my K-S2, but won't be happening until I replace my Pentax mains power adaptor, which recently went kaput... This is becasue the battery life on the K-S2 is naff!
These are all stacked images of between 60 and 160 plus images. They were stacked and stretched in Siril, then PP'd in PS. I also used TopazAI Denoise to clean them up.
The two telescopes I used are an SV Bony SV503 70ED f6 Refractor with a focal length of 420mm. This also had a 0.8x Field Flattener on it. This reduces the focal length to 336mm. The next one is Sky-Watcher 150P f5 Newtonian Reflector with a Coma Corrector. This incresease the focal length slightly to 825mm.
All the iamges are shot using either a UHC (Ultra High Contrast) & CLS (City Light Supression) filters. I also shot extra images using Hydrogen Alpha and Oxygen 3 filters to bring out details.
These are shot thru the 70mm Refractor:
Andromeda Galaxy
Horsehead & Flame Nebula
Orion Nebula
Rosette Nebula
Veil Nebula
These were shot with the 150mm Reflector
Orion Nebula
Pleiades Star Cluster - Also known as the Seven Sisters
