Didn't appear to be. Up to 4 in a grave!

A good set, in fact three good sets.

I didn't realise there was this cemetery in Cannock Chase.

War cemeteries are always moving to visit, but tricky to photograph in my experience.

I went to the huge American cemetery near Maastricht earlier in the year. That is also of course symmetrical, and hugely moving. Only one to a grave there, and many less graves than a few years ago as bodies are repatriated to the States by their families. Difficult to capture the sheer scale of it though with photographs.

Near me, just down the road from the Kamp Amersfoort concentration camp is a small Russian war cemetery. Gradually over the last few years it has been possible to identify the soldiers buried there, and some of their families have finally been able to see the final resting place of a loved one. It is cared for by local school children, who always ensure there are flowers for the dead.

On the last picture there is some "horrible" blue fringing around the leaves and branches that is not present on the others.

Any idea what might have caused it?

It is quite extreme, agreed, but not uncommon in this type of image - the DR between the dark trees and overexposed sky is very high. I have found this sort of problem very difficult to correct - it may be beyond the capabilities of any 'CA' removal tool, and selective de-saturation is likely to leave obvious signs.

Ideally Walkeja, you may have been better to try a couple of separate exposures, one for the sky & one for the ground, and blended them, but if course ideally for this you'd need a tripod. The blending around the trees and sky would be tricky of course, but maybe with layer masking it would be effective? Alternatively, this might have been a good scene for an 'in camera HDR', with careful handholding.
