I'm not sure the K-01 is intended to be something ultra-compact, but it's compact enough to look rather good next to an ME. That in itself is fairly compact, very compact by the standards of other marques.

In a photography magazine it would have been OK, but on a website
for arty farty designers who consider an iphone to be a perfect
camera there's no sense at all showing a massive lens and even
bigger hood other than lose sales.
Even the ME makes the K-01 look too thick

i liked the article..seemed to be very upbeat and positive.

That photo of the yellow K-01 with the 55mm SDM, nestled next to an ME, looks pretty smart.
