I managed to get a few shots of G-NWAA from the North West Air Ambulance recently. This was the best - in hindsight I might have upped the shutter speed a bit from 1/125th.

Nice shot John.

Wouldn't touch the shutter speed (up) you'd only end up with less rotor blur which has to be the best part of helicopter shots. If the shutter speed is too high the helicopter looks like it has had an engine failure mid flight but worse, as in real life the rotors would still be moving round as it 'autorotated'.

Totally agree, I'd suggest a drop to 1/100 or less if poss, would be better, might take a tad more skill but worth the practice.
