Was thinking about the K7 today and realised a future problem. If pentax keep developing this line of cameras, the one after next will be one dog of a camera....

I'll get my coat...

LOL. Yes, the K9 may very well be a dog.

However, they may skip the K9 and go for a K10, oh, hang on a minute, we've already had a K10, so we've actually gone backwards.

Thinking back, we are missing at the moment the K30D, K50D and K60D and also the K6, K5, K3 and K-S....

That is, if the number sequence were to follow the same pattern as previous Pentax ranges.

There's time yet!
Best regards, John

The K9p could be very handy for lamp-post shots.
Friendly Regards

Trouble is you`d end up with very wet feet!

Pentax do specialise in excellent and interesting prime lenses...

So maybe the numbers could go up in primes? 7, 11, 13, 17, etc...

The model planned for a release soon is the K14.

This will have a built in MP3 player and phone plus WiFi connection for Twitter and Facebook in line with its intended youth market.

The K9 model name has been dropped as insurance companies felt it might encourage jealous compact owners to whippet.

Production will go ahead but in China instead of the Philippines, so the camera will be re-christened the Pentax Pekingese.
