Casio.... maybe they still are. A DSLR with a built in
Casio Melody Alarm would sell like hotcakes. Even the
old watches sell for huge sums on ebay....
ebay_search
I can see the advertising slogans now!........
"THEY LAUGHED WHEN I SAT DOWN TO PLAY CHOPIN ON MY PENTAX"
AT PENTAX MIRACLES NEVER CEASE!
I used to have two Casio Cube Alarms used to wake me up with
a different pleasant tune every morning. The lasted over
20 years. I would love to replace them even with a DSLR

To be honest, if they only release one model which is quite likely they will be highly unlikely to be able to please anyone really? Too big, too small, not enough lenses, too heavy, no good for sports, frame rate too low, available in colours, where are the colours, not as good as a D4s, not enough pixels, too many pixels, only one model, where's the system, where's the "Pro" support, it will run and run, basically they'll take a hiding if they do and also if they don't! I'm with Cabstar, in that I think they should, I personally don't need it but if you really must have the eyes in focus and not the eyelashes and you really do spend all your time in low lit venues then you need it, plain and simple! Pentax/Ricoh seem to be able to make money on products that don't sell an awful lot of units and I have no doubt that they would be able to turn in a little profit on a "FF" system. I do however wonder how many of us are left that really want such a system and are not already using something else if we do?The thing I await discovering with bated breath is - if/when the FF Pentax is finally delivered........

My only fear is that the "Full Frame" model will become the top line, which I think is a given and that this will start the dilution of the APSC line, I really hope that, that does not happen. I'd much rather any "FF" line was just that a whole new line like the K-S1 apparantly is and not affecting the "Core". That said I would wet myself laughing if they introduced a "FF" K-S1 in a range of bright colours! Look to the west and see a little mushroom cloud rising over the U.S.

Hmm, a new standard. Now products are ridiculed not before they are used, not before they are released, but whilst they are still in development. Interesting.

I think that the content of that is worth printing on a T shirt and the T shirts be given away, free of charge, to worthy recipients.FF now confirmed in an English Press Release

I only have one wish and if it is fulfilled, I will die happy. Pentax have such a great lineup of APS-C lenses, it would be a shame to see that go to waste so...
How about a 25MP full frame sensor 6144 x 4096 with a APS-C crop mode. In that mode, it essentially simulates a Super35 movie sensor that is 4096px across, ie DCI 4K. Super35 is very close to APS-C so the great APS-C lenses you already own can work very well here.
Imagine shooting 25MP stills in a studio or a wedding using (what I assume would be) the new 70-200mm f2.8 and then using the camera for 4k video in APS-C mode using a Sigma 18-35 f1.8!
I know Pentax wasn't really a leader in the video space but we just lost the APS-C megapixel race to Samsung and the NX1 does beautiful 4k so...
Pentax, please...?

That press release reads like a tongue in cheek spoof to me. No company, particularly a Japanese one, would use that language.

Pentax and Marc Newson may well have been on to something. You try and buy one now at a reasonable price, all the new or mint ones I can find are very highly priced.
