Should'nt need to remove the paint from the base if there is no leccy contacts.

You do with any of these that have black anodised bases, even without contacts. They will work without it, but in order to use stop down metering it needs a bit of bare metal to make the contact between the lens and the camera body. It needs removing over the data pin and has been discussed fairly regularly on the forum.

Please note that these are not the cheap plastic tubes often available on Ebay. They are heavy solid metal and look great with 'A' and 'M' lenses. They have the aperture lever, but no electrical contacts and are manual focus only.
These have the usual black anodised base and need a small amount of paint removed in order to make proper contact with the camera body. this hasn't been done yet - I can either leave it as it is or do the necessary modification as the purchaser prefers.
Set consists of 12mm, 20mm and 36mm tubes and can be used in any combination of the three or separately. Case and both end caps included.
