These are excellent - will hold two short primes (anything 55mm or shorter should be ok).
One thing I've never been able to figure out with the Lowepro lens cases - what are the webbing loops sewn into the fabric at the ends of the zip for?

Hooray I've been wondering that - and they are also on my small EX 160 Bag and on the bottom of my Micro Trekker 100 back pack - all are where zips finish/start.
Any ideas anyone ?

My Stealth Reporter D100AW has the loops too, they're just about big enough to get a little finger into on that but I doubt that was the intended use.
I wish Lowepro would do a small SLR case - something for an M series with a 50mm lens, or even better M series with winder and short lens. If you have one with a 40mm pancake lens then the Sliplock Pouch 30 is a good fit, but the 50mm is just a bit too long for it.

Dangermouse - so we are still in the state of lack of knowledge about these loops ?
The only thing we know is that they are by the ends of zips .
Mike-P My case [ yes I already have one ] holds my Samsung 50-200 with its Hood reversed - so my new case is earmarked for my first new lens , still to be IDd and bought

It just happens to be a Lowepro signature to their products. Some like to grasp the metal zipper tabs and some like to grasp those thingies.

Huh do you mean the cords on the zipper tabs or the loops on the side of the bag?
I believe the loops are made to put a carabiners through it or some rope, at least that looked obvious to me as a climber...
And the cords on the tab are handy if you wear gloves
