Frost and Ice

Any excuse to get out and use my new camera... This time with a 28mm mf Kenlock. It's a very old and heavy K fit lens but so well balanced on the K10. These were part of a set I thought lost when the milk hit my lap-top key-board yesterday evening...

This lovely instrument really makes photography so easy and rewarding. Thanks, Kris.
Best wishes,

Andrew

Very appealing pattern in the last shot, although I'd lose the pebble (bottom right) with a slight crop. The other three are nice records of an extremely cold morning.

Hang on, Andrew!

Vis-a vis your comment at the foot of your last image....

If it was THAT easy, we'd all be doing it!

Oh, bu**er!

We are!

Great stuff Andrew. Captures the cold fantastically. I think the 3rd and 4th are my favourites. Love those patterns in the frozen puddle. Excellent stuff

Hi Andrew

I like the colour in the top left of number 2, others may not and the last image is a cracker.

Another old mf lens from which you squeeze great shots

I dont know how you do this Andrew, I go out when its frosty and all I get is frozen fingers and lots of duff shots, contrary to Stueys comments I think the last shot is the weakest, not enough contrast for my tastes.
The first and third work best for me.

Gorgeous pictures Andrew. So they even have snow and ice down in the mild old West Country. Keep on snapping with your new gear.

I've never known weather like this in November, David. I've even put the central heating on. November here is normally in double figures (centigrade). We had snow on Friday and it's not melted yet!

The K10 just takes everything I throw at it!
Best wishes,

Andrew

Hey. No throwing things at my old K10D...

I love the first image. Super BW conversion.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Those fingers of ice are just magic Andrew - well captured. Ditto re the BW processing on No.1

It must be a relief to have retrieved those files out of the notebook!

Thanks chaps. Worth getting my knees frosted!

Another thing I like about the K10 (don't worry, I'll get over it one day) is the extra pixels. You can crop and still end up with a decent image. One has to be so careful with 6mp.

I'll say!
