Selection of images of the marchers on ANZAC Day, Melbourne. I'd have liked to have got a little closer.

The first is the best shot of the group by a long way. It has a great composition, good sharpness where it counts and a shallow enough depth of field for the background. My only suggestion is to clone out the aerial growing out of his hat.

Best wishes, Kris.

Lots of film bodies, a couple of digital ones, too many lenses (mainly older glass) and a Horseman LE 5x4.

Thanks Kris, that was my pick - couldn't see the wood for the trees though, or the aerials for the antennae or something...

Nice work. I particularly like the Jeep shot.

A very nice set, these events need to be recorded. As for getting closer why not give the organisers a cd of your pictures, then next year get in touch and ask for a pass. I am sure it will work for you.
I have an excellent relationship with the DLI/Rifles in Durham which started by giving them pictures of their annual reunion.

Good luck

John,

That's an idea too, thanks for the thought. Worth trying.

Nice pics, I really like the Jeep. March Leader in the first post seems to have been deleted. Is it the same pic?

Same pic with the addition of a aerial growing out of the man's hat. The second version just has the aerial cloned out after I commented on it.

Thanks Cliff and A-G - Womble is correct. Thanks to his suggestion, the first shot of 'March Leader' had an antenna cloned out. That resulted in the one you see here now.
