Had some lovely weather at the weekend so me and my better half visited Fountains Abbey. Was a lovely place, but the lighting was too harsh for some nice exterior shots, so I went B&W instead. What you guys think?

1. High ISO from the K5II, pushing the limits...

They are both really nicely seen images and work well in black and white. If there is any criticism it is both have a lean to the left, particularly #2. Maybe the horizon level is off in your K5; it is way off in my mk1 K5 too to the extent I cannot use it at all. A bit of horizontal correcting in PP should easily sort that out.

Like these particularly the first one.

Keep meaning to do Fountain's Abbey after doing the rut in the morning at Studley Royal. Unfortunately, I'm always knackered after following the deer around, and give it the miss everytime

1st image is a winner. Tonal range is all there.

Best regards

What you need are lenses, more lenses, bigger lenses, better lenses, faster lenses, vintage lenses and when you have these, your pictures will be perfect!
