Haha I hope so, but unfortunately I still feel like a bit of a plonker when using a tripod in public. Look forward to an indoor long exposure from somewhere in my house

Try setting up a 5x4 view camera on one then covering your head in a towel because you haven't got around to getting a proper dark cloth yet. Then you feel a right plonker...

You don't just feel the part, you also look the part
That's real dedication!
Didn't know that you were half German (always having the towel with you, just in case you need to reserve a deckchair...)

Hilarious The other part: Digging huge holes on the beach, probably is already covered by his occupation.
Best regards,

Martin.

I can see that this is going to be another competition, where we spend most of the two weeks chatting away, before someone finally breaks cover and submits an entry

Long Exposure: that's a real challenge for me as my favourite style of photography is to work instinctively shooting from the hip. A long exposure from me is about 1/6th of a second with the camera wedged against a pillar in some medieval cathedral or museum. I rarely use the monopod and I don't even posess a tripod. I shall set forth with my thinking cap firmly wedged on my head.
PS: Love the photo of Kris lurking under a blue cloth in a cemetery. That ought to win a competition for candid grab shots.

And perhaps a bean bag as well for the man with no tripod?

David you beat me to it, what constitutes a long exposure - over a second or maybe over 5 seconds, that'd be a challange

I did spell out that for the purpose of this competition it is greater than 1 s.

We went on holiday several years back to Spain and in the morning, even though there was signs saying 'do not reserve deckchairs' next to the pool, guess who was there with their towels reserving them

Surely not the Germans?
