I had (what seemed like) a great idea for this week's comp; spent two hours setting the camera and the backdrop up, got my "subjects" from the freezer and by the time I'd placed them all where I wanted they'd started melting and sliding all over the place. The end result looks nothing like I'd imagined so it's back to the drawing board with only three days to go...
I think your hex has worked!

Sorry your idea didn't work out Hefty.I was lucky in that we got a good sprinkle of snow this morning, which helped, and below zero temps. But i had to risk dangly bits outside to get the shot!Good luck to all,you can't let Prieni and me have a free run!Tony.

Only just seen this Prieni (had lousy connections here last week - probably something to do with the African Union summit which always cause untold misery to ordinary Addis inhabitants:roll.Dr. Mhuni, will you go outside to take shots for this round? You better get your freezer fired up...

Actually have already placed some Strawberries in the freezer in preparation for a shot. Now I just have to capture something interesting. Will probably use my new Raynox again (as for the weekly comp). Was pleasantly surprised with the image quality it produces - a cheap and convenient (it snaps onto to the front of lenses) intro to Macro. Though I imagine that focusing with a devoted Macro lens (and ext. tubes?) would be much simpler. The depth of focus is absolutely miniscule with the Raynox - took me a while to figure out it was even working properly. Doh!

And you didn't even bother to leave the house for your shot In German we call people like that "Hasenfuß" which means hare's foot (and is perhaps best translated frady-cat). Looking at your avatar that fits very well
And now get the jumper and jacket on and off you go...

I am working at home today so I can't just go wandering off indulging a hobby
The photograph was taken this morning (during a coffee break), posted at lunch time (lunch break) and this is being typed during a tea break
I might go out this evening once the 'going home hooter' has been sounded (by me)
