Forget Me Not

Trudging around Tiddesley Wood Nr Pershore, the other morning in the bitterly cold wind and frequent snow showers. A few people stopped and asked what I was photographing, I can understand why, the trees have been stripped bare and there was little in the way of wildlife to bring any cheer to the bitterness, however this is exactly what I was looking to photograph, the winter mood and woodland.

My favourite image from the adventure. "Forget Me Not"

Stunning.

What you need are lenses, more lenses, bigger lenses, better lenses, faster lenses, and when you have these, your pictures will be perfect!

Reminds me of Ansel Adams - and you can't get better than that . Had to get the book out and check. Yep, there's something of the spirit of 'Oak Tree, Rain, Sonoma County, California, c. 1960' (and others) about it. And you've handled the colours beautifully, which AA didn't have to worry about, of course .

And thanks for prompting me to get the book of AA's pictures off the shelf. Always worth doing but rarely done!

Thanks Lubby, any inspiration to get a book and have a read is win for me! I have a couple non photographic books that I really must start. Brought for me at Christmas, and sat ever since on the desk. Feeling guilty about that now.

That is gorgeous Geoff, a delicate fire in that winter'd tree.

Thank you, one of my favourite images I have taken so far in 2021, and one that's actually sold very well for me in prints.

Love the ethereal look to the image. It kinda gets lost but I like that and it adds to the image
