Football is back!
Do like number one though. Ive only ever shot one football match and that was at Old Trafford. Talking to the pros there they always shot from behind the goals as thats the direction the players where always heading.mthey also suggested trying tomget the ball as closed to the player as possible unless it was goal bound off course. I hope to do some local stuff this season so will be practicing mysel

I was behind the goal at one end so number 2 was a shot of the opposite end of the pitch. I would have ideally liked to have my 300mm on for this one but I only have one body so it is a crop of an image at 200mm. and I daren't go in any tighter. Number 3 was players running in on goal but I wasn't quick enough to zoom out on my 70-200mm so it is uncropped, at least in the post-processing sense. However I thought it added some intensity to the blue player's concentration on the ball. Number 1 is my favourite.
With regard to number 2 - what do you think of this version?

Here are a couple of images from my first football match of the new season. Any critique to help me improve would be gratefully received.
