You might be able to pick up another 28-70 on ebay for less than the cost of a repair. A constant f4 one wnet for around £50 not long ago. Maybe half that if it's the variable aperture one.

Pretty sure this is the dreaded element separation assuming this is a FA 28-70 f4.0. They're supposed to be prone to it. Mine just got a lot worse and as far as I'm aware there's no fix. I'd love to find out differently though.

ave got a pentax 28-70 fa lens with the rear element group fogged up
has any body had anything like this repaired ? & if so were at and how much to fix or is the lens not worth fixing your advice please
