Some gorgeously exotic subjects there Derek, and some lovely close-up photography as well. They're all sharp in interesting places, and I like the variety of focus effects you've created. The backgrounds are all most complementary and you've given some space and context around some.
My favourites are 4 and 5, which I think are both brilliant!
I'm not generally liking the compositions where the flower emerges from the right-side edge of the frame ,eg 1,7,and 8, but prefer those that are rooted from the bottom ... just a personal response.
Also, apart from 4 and 5, I feel they are all a little dim in brightness. I'm sure the exposure value you used was right in terms of dynamic range capture and bringing out vibrancy, but for display I think they need a nudge upwards by 0.5 stop or so.

Thanks again and if i get a chance to post a few more i shall try to give them a nudge before posting

These are all magnificent. I too thought they were slightly dim but that's been addressed in the 2nd set.
I particularly liked the rich purple holyhock trying to emerge from its bud

There's a nice abstract feel to some of these, also a certain velvety loveliness, if you see what I mean... Strong, deep, yet still restrained colours...
