Flipside 300 Advice

Hi
I've got the Flipside 300. I'm 5'11 and have had no problems with where the bag sits. The straps are adjustable to find the best place. I have used mine for extended periods and day hikes without any problems - it just feels like any other rucksack. My back did get rather sweaty wearing it in the Far-East, but that would probably go for most backpacks.
I must say added security gives lot of confidence in cities / crowded underground train. etc. Another great selling point for me is the fact you don't need to take it off to get at lenses etc - just leave the waist-strap fastened and swing it around the front. You can then use it like a platform to change lenses and root for your bits and bobs, look - no hands! - a bit like the guy here, and lady here -Ok they're showing the 200 but the 300 works the same.
Hope this helps

Thanks Haworth.
I went to Jacobs to see the 300. I liked it overall but realised that I couldn't carry it with a gripped camera without it digging into my back.
I think that most of the time I would have my camera in my hand and spare lenses in the bag but was worried about room and the fact that things would be sitting at an odd angle, so I've ordered the Flipside 400 from Jessops to see how I get on.

I have to admit to shying away from backpacks due to the back issue, I now use a Crumpler Cupcake which can hold my camera with up to the 55-300, Metz 48 and an additional lens such as the 35mm, 50mm to 100macro.
I also have a Case Logic slr sling which can hold my camera with a DA*50-135 fitted and a flash or spare lens in the top pocket.
For me, the Flipside 300 is the same as the Kata 3N1-20, and I have stopped using that uther than to store equipment not in use.

I have a Vertex 300 (which is good and comfortable but big) and a Microtrekker 200 (which is about the size I need for this but too painful to carry all day).
The big problem is my back suffers with the Microtrekker as it sits in the wrong place on my back. All the weight is too low so I get pretty sore after a while.
I really like the idea of the added security of the Flipside too. And the fact that if you have to put it down in the wet to open it that it's the side which isn't on your back when you put it back on.
So, does anyone of a reasonable height (over 5'10") have any experience of how well it carries the load and it it is comfortable enough to wear when walking all day?
