I have the Metz 58 and find it very good. Pentax (and Sigma) are releasing a Ring flash, if you are doing macro or portrature, this might be a very good option to consider.

We have two Metz 58AF-1s as well, one of the best purchases for our cameras, along with the DA* lenses.

I have a Sigma EF500 Dg super and a Sigma EF530 Dg Super and they both do a very good job. And they can't get stuck on the hot shoe like the Pentax AF540 sometimes does.

It is an easy fix Matt, but you really shouldn't have to. Even on the Metz (I have the 48 AF-1) you have to make sure you wind the locking ring right up to the flashes body to make sure the locking pin is withdrawn properly.

Seeing as my budget is for around £150 might the pentax 360 be my best choice. Has anyone got this flash if so what is your opinion please.

Also you need to be careful with the battery door, its very flimsy and easily broken if not careful.

The Metz 48 AF-1 is only £139.00 at SRS, its a very good PTTL flash with a swivel head. It also has USB update, but as there are no updates for the Pentax version needed I don't know how useful this is.

Thanks once again guys for all the info I have had a look at various comments made on both pentax and metz flash guns and both seem very positive.
