Ok I have finally done this.
I can import into Toast a session, keep adding to the CD in several other sessions on the Mac - take out and view on the Apacer - put back in Mac and finalize.
If I now put back in the Apacer, it works as a normal CD I can view all the files that have been written to it, but can no longer write to it. Which is how one expects it to work. I just did not know how to do it! One has to tell the Mac to use ISO9660 format.
After you have written a session on the apacer, and one on the Mac, you can not write another one on the Apacer even when the last session burned is open. I suppose that is normal too.
I suppose this means I have to finalize all my discs I have ever burnt with the Apacer?????????

I must admit that I tend to finalize all disks I burn, having had problems with multisession disks not being read in different machines. The cost of CDR's is so small now that "only" recording 100 MB on a CD capable of holding 700 MB, doesn't feel like too much wastage!

I am currently making a test CD on my Apacer, and then I will attempt to get this working on the Mac. Incidentally my burner is one I culled from my PC before I sold it a Pioneer DVD-Writer (DVR-105) that handles CD, CD/RW and DVD roms and R/W - it is about 3 years old or so.
