Beautiful shots Nigel, what a lovely place! I especially like number 1 it's a cracking photo!

I like these, Nigel, and my choice is number 2 - partly because of the attractive colour contrast (almost green-magenta complementaries), and also it is somewhat unusual in the flowers not being the subject.
Cheers.

Three lovely shots Nigel with great colour. The heather looks very good this year. Glad you had a nice holiday.
Best wishes,
Andrew

All three - lovely rich colours. Have often driven through this area between Swanage and the Poole harbour ferry, but not often stopped and had a good explore; I have obviously missed out!

I think the 'richness' is all down to the light, which was on a great angle around 250deg from camera position, and fairly low, plus the sheer density of foliage. The slope of the land and interest in the distance all play their part I guess.Wonderfully rich images Nigel, particularly liking No3 with it's great depth and lovely foreground.

Philip, you're right about No2, I hadn't seen it like that with the green vs magenta, an unusual mix perhaps.
Andy, yes, I pass through a lot as well. I've long been curious about what lies beyond the edges of the road ...I had a suspicion there were things worth exploring! You can imagine my face and feeling when I did finally trudge up over the dunes and saw that sight in front of me!
Strangely it's not an area that I've seen showcased on the usual local postcards and calendars. or the cafe walls.

Lovely pics - great depth, colour and quality. I particularly like No1 with Old Harry Rocks in the background - reminds me of my younger days growing up in Bournemouth and looking out across the bay...........

Your insomnia has paid off again, Nigel! Lovely images and interesting to see the colours pushed so far - post-cardly indeed.

Thanks We haven't been into Bournemouth itself, just the Sandbanks area and Compton Acres. I guess the rocks must beckon tantalisingly from the beaches far away. Thanks also Mike, I imagine you know this area better than any of us!

Really like the clash of colour with the 2nd shot. That foreground tree in the opening image is very interesting. I think spending time with that looking at different compositions could of paid off

Thankyou Alan ...all three! I think that must he a first from you I was pleased with the location and the results .... If only I had the chances to go places like that more often. I like all three Nigel. Good composition and use of colour
Thanks also Gareth .... Yes, there's plenty more compositional experimenting to be done there. I've got a few more to come with different zoom settings, although from a similar position.

Loved all three but number 2 is my favourite, the vivid green and bold pink contrast so well

But I managed to creep out as the sun rose one morning to Studland Heath, an area of great beauty with its inland 'seas', dunes and distinctive purple heathers.
All with the K7, tripod, mirror up with remote control ....
