First proper outing with a Fisheye

Picked up a Pentax SMC A 16mm f2.8 a few weeks ago and had a quick play with it but quickly realised it's a lens that won't suit many subjects! Well today I went to a local food market and had the opportunity to use it to capture the flavour of the day with the stalls and customers.

It's a real pleasure to use, and you have to really compose in the viewfinder as the amount of unwanted subjects and their distortion can be quite distracting, but with a bit of cropping on some I'm pleased with the results.

Great images, lots of character and life in them

Always hard to get a fisheye to do what you want!
All the gear with no idea

Looks like fun indeed! I like #7 in particulier, for the interaction - and the b+w processing.

I like no. 4. I think fisheyes do well when you can squeeze a lot of identical objects into a regimented display.

Never managed to capture a good one myself though !
