I take it this isn't your first camera Those shots are great! I particularly like the waterskiier and the drainage ditch, but they're all really good. The sky in the first one could do with a bit more colour, cant think of much else to criticise

Yes, gotta agree with Gareth. Even taking into account distortion from the wide angle, that dog still has a gigantic tongue

Well if anyone can find anything wrong with them its me....
And I have
Its the girl in the first shot, (your partner?) it would have been better if we could have seen more of her head above the dogs, at least the rest of her chin. Though to be fair I dont suppose you get much time to compose shots when animals are involved.
The water skier is great, the face doesn't bother me I think its fine but I would have prefered to see the bank of the lake level and I think it might have given the skier a more dynamic pose.
Of course this is just nit picking and they are all really good shots.

@thoughton - yep, around 5-6 years ago I had an EOS650 but got expensive so ditched it for a digital compact. Always nagged me compacts, I just like the feel of SLR's. KM is so compact that I take it out a lot more than the EOS as well.
The top one was my first outing, taken in quite flat light (if that is the right terminology?). Sidney does not sit still for long, so was on burst shot. The next couple he turned and used that huge tongue to lick the wife, Nice!
Waterski one was total luck. The guy had only just managed to stand up and I love the concentration, yet complete joy on his face! I had levelled the one I sent him, forgot with this upload!
Find the polarizer causes quite uneven sky colours across the horizontal. The last one worked ok but I don't tend to use it as much as I did when I had a film slr.

Agree with Mr. Spider about 1. Also, I think there's too much sky. In that situation I think I probably would have pointed the camera down a bit and got in closer, to reduce the sky - though this might not have been practical. Or in PP, if possible, I would have cropped more off the top and left a little more on the bottom.
Not bothered by the horizon so much in 3. Adds a bit of dynamism. And helps the viewer see the skier's going downhill.
Really like 5.

I do have a tendency to use wide aperture. Have read that this is not such a good idea on the kit DAL lenses. I do get softer shots out of the 18-55, but the 50-200 is great and often go out with just this compact lens on the KM.
Maybe one day I can save up and get a super wide angle or a macro. Would also be great to have a fast short prime for indoors and portrait....the list goes on!
