Talking of 645s, has anyone seen the price of the 645D on the dreaded bay. I choked on my morning tea

Oh Yes ....Talking of 645s, has anyone seen the price of the 645D on the dreaded bay. I choked on my morning tea
...there's also the first one I've seen in a second hand section of a UK camera shop (Harrison Cameras) - with 3 lenses for £6k (I think they might struggle to sell at that price)

Brand new ones (645D) now down to $4999 (approx £2915) at B&H in the US... no idea whether that kind of price can or will ever be replicated over here, but the direction of travel is pretty clear...

There is a well know dealer (Rhymes with Lark) having a sale and they have some amazing savings on Pentax lenses, I dare say something to suit all pockets, if you are rich
Just had a look. They have the 12-24mm at GBP739. Normal retail here inc tax is GBP485. Even the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.4 at Lark is 649 whilst 415 here inc tax. There is a well know dealer (Rhymes with Lark) having a sale and they have some amazing savings on Pentax lenses, I dare say something to suit all pockets, if you are rich
I think along with the 645Z price, the lens prices are getting too high in the UK.
Best regards

Are we talking about Park Cameras here? No need to be so coy if we are.
Lens prices do seem to vary quite a bit from dealer to dealer, but I always look to SRS and Park first, then others who may do one-off bargains but don't have the service level.

Be careful about buying from Park Cameras. Their warranty policy is not as good as other Pentax dealers and it is rather unclear. Their customer service is basically ambivalent when things go wrong. I thought they were one of the better dealers but they are not.
SRS offer a much superior service which puts the customer first.

Does anyone know where I can get the 645z? It seems every reputable dealer is out of stock. Very frustrating indeed. Ricoh themselves don't seem to have stock or know when its going to be in
