Just recently aquired the Pentax M 75-150mm f4 for the princely sum of 15 and had my first outing with it down at the local motox track. All in all very pleased with it, but I've no idea why these are so cheap as these are a quality piece of glass, if you don't mind fully manual of course.

Very well done - a great shot. Just the right shutter speed to freeze the rider in time; and a bargain of a lens too!

Nice shot, if one wanted to be pedantic the rider needs to be further left of the frame, to give them somewhere to go. And you have 2 dust spots on your sensor, left of the rear tyre.
Off course this just pure jealosly on my part

...And both points can be very easily remedied in photoshop...but now Davex has mentioned them, I do tend to agree.

Nice shot and I like it central, he's actually travelling downwards as well as forwards.

When AP tested this lens they found it sharper at the 150mm end than the 75mm end. They did notice however that they thought it had been designed with portraits in mind and had been designed at the long end to be on the soft side until f/5.6 or so. It might just have been their lens, but I would do some tests at 150mm from f/4 to f/11 just to see how it actually performs.

I don't want to admit it because I'm jealous of the lens and it's price, but...wonderful shot!

Cheers,

Stephen
