I went on a days course on Saturday with David Rann in Birmingham, portrait photography. I went along to get some inspiration really and these are the shots I came back with of Emilie. C&C most welcome please.

Not that I'm qualified to give an expert opinion on portraits but I really like the first and last. The first is fun, with the nail varnish and flowers. The last is just a nice portrait, although it would be better with a bare neck I think.

One question though was the tight cropping all intentional?

She is certainly a great subject Andy. All good pose.

Have you done any PP, specifically sharpening as I can't see evidence.

Best regards

The tight crop was intentional, this is what the tutor suggested.

I have not done any sharpening, feel free to have a go with them. I have just adjusted the levels a bit.

Cheers,
Andy
