Exif Viewer isn't compatible with FF8 yet, according to the add-on compatibility report. So I'll be holding off for a bit.

Possibly huge numbers going back to previous
versions. I went back to v3.6ish on one PC and I'm
on v2 on this one, because Fasterfox still runs on
it and shows things like how long a page is taking
to load etc. This page took 0.440secs
I hate change just for the sake of change.

I have been wondering if you're working on a computer that forces you to hit enter to create new lines after about 40 characters...

There's no fixed wordwrap on this board and long lines
are difficult to read. I actually wrote the above on a program I
was messing about with that wordwrapped at 50 chars.
It's different if your printing stuff off then 70-80 chars is better.
You used to get told off on the Usenet newsgroups for very
long lines, because people read so many posts on there and
shorter lines are quicker to read.

There is an excellent EXIF viewer plugin for Chrome. You just move your mouse pointer over an image and it displays the basics in the photo itself.
I still prefer FF overall though.

The simpler plugin Fxif, v0.4.4, which when compared to Exif Viewer only produces a summary, (rather like the exif display in the gallery here), is working fine in FF8 so can be used as a stop-gap.
Hopefully it won't be long before exif viewer gets updated.
I have been having similar problems with plugins in Thunderbird which was updated to version 8 at the same time. It seems that many of these plugins need to be re-versioned for the now rather regular major updates from Mozilla.

I haven't updated yet, but as FF has worked like a dream for me for ages, I will soon.
Though I think I must be a lucky soul as, unlike quite a few folks, I have never had a problem with any browser - IE, FF, Chrome, Safari, Sleipnir all work really well for me.
