Here are a few photo's I took a couple of years ago now.

I was going through some old photo's I hadn't done much with and decided to give these a pass through Photoshop.

2 & 6 are my personal favourites from this set.

A very nice set. I think #3 shows an animal unhappy at being caged.

Yes, that's a good set, and numbers 2 and 4 in particular. 4 is ace - don't often see pics of a gorilla this upright and that one is spot on - look at those arms!

Thanks for the comments guys, these were taken at Port Lympne Zoo in Kent.

The day I was there there was actually an Australian film crew there filming him - quite a sight!

I'd bet if you sent their marketing dept a low-res-heavily-watermarked copy of it, they'd probably engage you in a conversation to buy the rights...

Are the gorillas easier to photograph at Port Lympne that at Howletts? I was really disapointed in the photo ops at Howletts. Maybe next time I'm in Kent we'll go to Port Lympne instead.

Am Bam was due to move to a zoo near me, along with some other bachelors from Kent. At the last minute it was decided he wouldn't move. Clearly too much of an attraction at Port Lympne.

The others are here as a bachelor group, because there are too many male gorillas in captivity. I haven't been to see them yet.

Thanks, I'll keep it mind, I think there are a lot of pictures around of Am Bam though, so I'm not so sure.

Yes I'd say Port Lympne is much better, the Gorilla enclosure is a large open space, if you get there at the right time (feeding) then there are plenty of photo oppurtunities.

There is also a very good (roughly 1-1.5 hrs) jeep safari as well which is brilliant.

I should be going back in the summer as I have a year pass so I'll try and get some more shots then.
