That cat wound up outside our house, earlier this year... he was homeless, cold and nearly starved to death.
he always has a sad face.
but he's healthy playful, and seems unseperable from our youngest boy.
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

Hello Don,
As a rank beginner, who is really not qualified to pass any comment,
I will none the less take the plunge, and say that the canvas effect does not work for me, and the picture seems fuzzy.
The composition to me is very good, but I feel it needs to be sharp.

But then who am I to comment?

Kindest regards,

Peter

I mostly agree

The cat looks a little apprehensive, the lighting needs tweaking etc etc, but what bothers me most is the blender behind the cat, it just does'nt seem to blend in (pun intended). The kitchen has an olde world feel to it and I think the blender, and the telephone outlet? distract from this. Of course this could be for a modern day novel in which case I'm talking rubbish

hey guys thank you all, sorry to those that missed it....
most of the elements do belong in context with a story... they are after all illustrations for the story
but
I feel each image has to be able to stand on it's own as well, artistically, and will keep all the comments in mind while doing this "assignment".
Thank you so much.

will post an image or two with an excerpt of Gerri's story, hopefully next week.
