Ohhhh sage forum of wise and good knowledged folk .....

I have a Vivitar 135mm CF lens with a splodge of fungus.

Is it within the bounds of reason to pick up an unfashionable mount (e.g. olympus) version of the Vivitar 90mm Macro (or one of the plethora of lookee likes) and traansplant the mount from the 135 to make it a PK ??????

Do I need a similar registration distance? or because I'm only bothered at the close focus range should I not be bothered unless the lens is going to hit the mirror?

The 55, 90 and 135 Vivitars look so mighty similar .....
