Copying/moving does take time. There is no such thing as immediate file transfer. Copying between harddisks is somewhat faster than from cards or memory sticks.

It seems to be taking a lot longer than before though. When I said instantly that was perhaps the wrong word to use. I'm using a K-5 with DNG RAW images, perhaps the file sizes are having an effect?

I've de-fragmented my PC and cleared out some programs and files to make it run quicker but this doesn't seem to have helped.
Any suggestions please?
