Both images at f1.4 with the Samyang 35mm - the focus plane is really limited but it really can work well if you nail it - I think I've managed it on one, not sure about the other...

Love No 1 LennyBloke, not that no 2 isn't good but the first one has that something about it for me. Good attempt at wide open so many variables from wind, misfocus and even aging eyes and timing can make life difficult.

Thanks Fishbones - and well identified, I do suffer from misfocus, aging eyes and quite often wind too

😀 maybe Pentax will implement some sort of sensor shift anti flatulent filter or AFF in the new k series camera , we could all benefit 😉👍

Very nice work on the first one, Lenny, the lighting is superb, as is the rendering of movement - a soft pinwheel of sorts.

The first is great! The 2nd could have been superb if it had a smidge more in focus but both very nice
