Fake Epson inks ?

Not sure if this is the right section to complain about AMAZON sending out fake Epson Inks but do so as a WARNING ! I was replacing the Light Cyan and a box came up saying' Not Compatible with R265' although it said 'Epson Claria ink' but I notice a couple of the boxes are different in style and I have the Cyan one next to replace - I went out to Curry's Digital and paid £6.99 for one Light Cyan cartridge. When I tried to complain to AMAZON they have hidden their e-mail very well ! There is no place on their site for 'complaints' . Here are pics : FAKE on the LEFT

How do you know it's fake, and not just a faulty cartridge?

If you click on Help, it tells you clearly how to make a return. You can explain why at the same time.

It also tells you how to contact customer service.

You do not make it clear whether it was a purchase from Amazon or from a supplier in the Amazon Marketplace.

I'm sure that in either case if they do turn out to be faulty or fake, then Amazon will want to know about it. They are a reputable business.

I had a DVD from amazon last Christmas which was scratched. They were very good about it and replaced the whole box set very quickly.

I'm sure if you contact them they will be very concerned about this and will replace the faulty/fake cart.
you don't have to be mad to post here

but it does help

I had a look at all the options in the 'Help' section, clicked on one which said 'I have been sent a faulty or damaged order' and it came up with 'Your order is not allowable for return' .....There does not seem to be an 'ordinary' e-mail address or telepone where I can contact them to tell the story and send the photos.

I would say you would think you've been sent a defective item. Halfway down, on the right hand side of this page is a 'contact us' link, which promises "Express customer service or contact us by e-mail or phone".

I hope its not the same issue I came across with HP cartridges that although the printer was boxed and sold in England, when the first set of replacement cartridges were required it turned out the printer was set up for another region and had to be reprogrammed for use in England.

Daniel : I found the link where you told me and had a go at 'e-mailing' them - well, what a palaver ! An hour spent searching out papers from the original order, typing in all the story with pasted in photos as on here, then when I pressed 'send' it would not go as it said the order number had not been recognised- I kept on checking, then put in the number on the paper where the inks were, still would not allow it to send ! Had to give up as I had to go out. Will try to telephone but will probably get an hour of music before getting through!
