That's correct. They all have the mechanical aperture stop down though

They are the mechanical type and DO NOT have the contacts for the communication with the camera. They will work with PK M Lenses fine but will not transfer any auto settings to the camera.
Hi Frogherder, there is a set of Jessops PK tubes BIN on ebay but be careful I think you need the PKA type to have the contacts to enable communication with the lens...correct me if I am wrong guys.

Thanks for all your comments - I'll be on the look out.
Just a thought regarding depth of field :-
Say I use a 55mm lens and a tube extension and fill the AF frame in the viewfinder with a ladybird.
The alternative is a 300mm macro lens also with appropriate tube to get the same sized image.
Which setup would give the greatest depth of field (focus) [I don't really want to get into the technicalities of which is the correct term - I'm told they're different]
