Exif data

I have now placed 5 images in the gallery, 4 taken with my K-X, and 1 wasn't. The exif data on my 4 Petax pics has "not been recorded"

Why is this? The images have certainly been modified in one way or another, but shouldn't the data be retained?

I get the same problem sometimes, good knows why. Usually it is when I use 'save as' that the EXIF data disappears.
If I just use the 'save' option it is still there.
I have wondered about it for some time by now but I am changing soon to CS5 and Lightroom 3 so I am not to worried unless it happens in there as well.
I am sure someone will be here soon to give you better advise.
Kind regards

It's nice to be nice!

Pentax K-5 with D-GB4 Grip, to many lenses to mention by now (serious LBA by now), TC's, Lowepro Slingshot 300 AW, Manfrotto 028 & Redsnapper RS-283 with various Heads plus various Camera Clamps (I collect them). Save As preserves EXIF data, but Save For Web does not. Just doing Save will over-write your original file.

When doing a 'save as', there is probaly an option to go to 'advanced options' and in there an option to include/exclude the exif.

You don't mention which software you're using, and it will probably not be what I use, so can't advice further.
