After you have entered your first name, use the RIGHT=ARROW on your 4-way controller to create a space, then enter your surname. Instructions are given on P.283 of the manual which would have come with the Kr.
Yeah, got the manual but I'm already doing what it suggests, ie using the 4-way controller. Using the right arrow just moves the cursor over the symbol selection panel above the text box, and that contains no symbol or option for a space. If there was a way of using the 4-way to move the cursor down to the text box it might help (?), but it stays up in the symbol box, which has no space option. I'm flummoxed
If the K-r is similar to the K5, the symbol is the one in the left bottom (before the '+'). Select it an press to insert it the usual way.
Guess you obviously did not try all symbols / characters

It has been used for ages when indicating a space while handwriting code on paper.

I was typing my personal info into my K-r earlier, for the file copyright section of the general Exif data. Try as I might, I could not find any way of including a space to separate christian and surname. Having my name appear wrongly in the EXIF file is annoying me to a surprising degree
Am I being dumb or is there really no way to select a space? Any suggestions gratefully received!
