Thanks for the link Ken, that looks really interesting.
Liverpool is only an hour or so away, so I may very well creep up there as I have a few days off work soon.

I went to see it twice earlier this week, some of the prints are huge. Unfortunately,the book has sold out.

Thomson was a pioneering photojournalist who visited China in the 1860s, the images are absolutely stunning. A bit like Irving Penn or Diane Arbus only 100 years earlier.
Don't complain about carrying gear, it took four men just to lift the box of negatives.
