I think the first thing you should address if you want to mount an exhibition is shooting images around a theme. As you observe yourself, your subject matter is rather disparate (judging from your PPG). Exhibitions work best if they are coherent and the images are complimentary IMO.
Shooting around a particular theme is also a good way to get you thinking about and therefore improving your photography. At least that's what I understand - I have never had the patience or application to follow through along these lines despite all the best intentions up to now.

Good advice Mhuni, but tish! There are clear themes in your work which may have been subconscious or just the result of the subject matter to hand, but they're there!

Thanks Cabstar - it was an interesting link and was informative.
Mhuni, as I said in previously, no specialist subject for me. Unfortunately, my work + family commitments + a bit of golf mean that I only able to shoot as and when I get time. Focussing on a particular subject would require a great degree of dedication, which I can't afford right now.
Thanks for the other comments as well. As I mentioned, this was a hypothetical question but was merely interested in the idea.

True, PP, themes come through but they mostly result from my wandering about pretty aimlessly. I've always thought it would be a good idea to have a more definite focus, but have yet to get round to adopting this.
I like this idea. Not that I'm thinking of doing anything like the OP but I might try this approach during a period of zero inspiration. Second year is harder than first thus far.True, PP, themes come through but they mostly result from my wandering about pretty aimlessly. Golfs going well though

In my opinion, there are certainly some of your images on flickr, that are of exhibition standard.
There are many open exhibitions around the uk and abroad where individual photographers can enter. Entries are judged, usually by a panel of 3 judges. Those gaining good marks, are accepted into the exhibition. Why don't you try and gain some acceptances into these exhibitions. This will give you feedback on your standard.

I have been taking pictures for some time now and feel that I have steadily improved with time. I would invite you to look at my photographs in Flickr in the link here as well as PPG in my signature. As you can see, I have no special interest and take photos of what appeals to me. That said, I do like landscapes and also dabble in travel photography.
My questions are, if I wanted to show my photographs to other people, then:
1. Do you think I am good enough
2. How would one go about doing it - i.e. arranging an exhibition.
I would like your honest opinion but please, be gentle
Thanks.
