...from a weird, unusual, puzzling perspective.
Following on from the new theme for the fortnightly competition, here is one I prepared earlier (and which therefore does not qualify).
Do you think that would be a good entry?

(I think a few "old hands" here have seen that one before)

And what "earlier preparations" do you have slumbering in the archives?

Plus you got the white balnce spot on with this one Prieni. That's the colour I remember it to be & what gave it away. I may have struggled in B&W.

RR, it is not Swarfega (had to look that one up). But you are not that far off, it's some Nivea shower gel. If you turn the bottle round then the bubbles slowly rise.
The colour is not as intense as it seems in the shot, I did add a little pop by making it a bit darker.

RR . I would have gone for Swarfega too. Used to use a lot after working on my first car a Mk3 Ford Cortina.

I seem to remember it had a distinctive smell as well, or am I imagining that?

Yes Peter it did have a distinctive smell. A sort of cross between rust & cheap pine disinfectant. A bit like your Cortina I should imagine

Swarfega didn't have the abrasive pearls, did it? If that's what the little brown pellets are?

I think you're right Barrie, now I come to think of it I used to add sugar for those stubborn bits ! It's been a long time since I bought a tub mind you. I seem to remember the last stuff I used was red in colour, although this may have been an alternative.

Oh & I love the way the ad men have got to you with the "pearls" idea, sounds much better than "grit" !

I used to work in an industry where Dermatitis was a very emotive word and hand cleaners with “pearls” were part of the problem. So I have picked up the language sorry.

I think that was called "Tufanega" or something like that.
I use a mixture of washing up liquid and salt. Problem is the salt finds all the little cuts I got whilst working on the car
Getting there! Thanks to you guys
