The BBC are covering the expendition on their website and BBC 2has a 2 part documentary on 23rd and 30th September at 8.00pm.

Nice to see Pentax making the effort and playing the publicity games that the other manufacturers play (advertorials, sponsorships, pitch-side avertising).

I'm very surprised that their 'weatherproofed' DSLR and DA* lenses aren't a main feature. Not even featured at all unless I missed something.

I think, that those mountain climbers are very happy not to carry that extra weight on this mountain. ( as good as they are ) Weight is an issue in this kind of sport. I think.....
Unless offcourse...., Pentax suplied them with extra sherpas to carry that wonderful extra weight

IIRC Pentax has been up everest before in the guise of the mighty midget Auto110. Ideal for the size and weight constraints mentioned
