You learn everyday! I have seen these "Hybrid" looking Blackbirds around but had no idea they had even been given a name, thankyou and what wonderful images...

Indeed. Not even oversharpened, so I don't get the pleasure of that little moan. It's just not fair!

Actually, perhaps the dunnock and the second goldcrest are, just a little. They're just a tiny bit too bitingly sharp, really - if you look at them in their own browser tab at full size, the diagonals are starting to get slightly jagged.

I'm just being picky, though, they're way better than the pathetic efforts I wouldn't even post

I didn't realise that lens existed; the images have the same kind of quality and detail in the small feathers that the DA300* can produce.

Cracking shots.
I especially like the Goldcrest photos, as they do not tend to sit still for very long at all, so well done!
