Hi Antony, it looks like a shield bug to me, have a look on google though just to make sure.

Essential indeed, and worthy of a bit of photographic attention as they go about their business.

The third one looks like the 2nd instar of the common green shieldbug - here's a helpful link for identifying shield bugs link.
