Why do my Cokin ND grads only work left to right or right to left?

Why are my my screw on filters not marked "top or bottom"?

Do you have any tech questions?

Why is it, when somebody tells you there are a billion stars in the sky, you are likely to believe them, but if somebody tells you 'that paint is wet' you have to touch it to check?
