Enchanted Garden - Brodsworth Hall

I've been there with my family last Saturday. It was beautiful, I enjoyed it despite the rain which didn't last long. Lots of people with cameras, tripods etc although I haven't spot any other Pentax. Unfortunately it was rather windy and I have a cheap, lightweight, not-so-sturdy tripod. But at least I tried Few pictures below, more on Photobucket or Picasa (with Polish titles / descriptions) (there's also part 2 and 3).

#3 jumps out at you...love the lighting under the tree going up...Great shot.

Definitely the tree for me too. Not so keen on the mixed lighting on some of the others.

I love the colours in number 5. I think it might work better without the very bright gate because the greens and blues are so nice. Perhaps a bit of a crop? Something like this maybe (hope you don't mind ):

Tim, I didn't think about that - actually the crop made a new picture I like it, but I also like the original - although the gate is burned out, it brightens the picture. However it takes the attention from the path. Aaaa, how can I decide!?

Thanks I think it was just over previous week only (and today it has been cancelled due to the weather). But it's worth seeing if you haven't been there before anyway. It's beautiful in early summer, when rose garden is in bloom. See their webpage to find opening details.
Most of the pictures were taken with aperture around 7-8, long exposure time (few or even up to 20 seconds), ISO 200 (to keep noise low), tripod and cable release (unfortunately my tripod is a cheap, not so sturdy one) White Balance = Daylight. I used mostly Pentax DA 16-45mm lens. You can find each picture's setup on my photobucket page when you open the picture.
