Somewhat pretentious title for a fairly commonplace picture. This was taken in the delightful wetlands reserve in the IOM.

Lovely picture George.
Has the wallaby herd in the Peak District died out? There always used to be wallabies there, and around Chessington I believe.

You mean there are other wild wallabies in the British Isles? I thought ours were unique.

But since they seem to thrive here, I suppose they'll thrive elsewhere, too.

Never heard of chromatic abrasion. Is it similar to chromatic aberration?

Yea, I scuffed my colour badly on one of those once!

I clicked on your link which took me to your picture in the gallery then I clicked on the picture there, and that took me to your picture on a plain background. I then right clicked on your picture and selected "properties". I then copied the url and selected "image" and pasted the url between the two sets of square brackets.


It's when two of the elements in your lens grind together and produce a fine glass powder. This results in problems with colours in your photos.

As for the chromatic whatever, I think it is pretty much inevitable when photographing twigs against the sky. My eyesight being what it is, I didn't notice it until Scott the Hot pointed it out. I'll see what Silkypix can do with it.
