email help

PC email help,(for use with Pentax of cause)

Can one of the onboard experts help a computer dumbo with a problem?

I have until recently used the offsite spam protection service Clear my mail, this intercepts my mail checks it and I collect it from them.
I have new decided to stop using this facility, and from that date I sometimes get email attachment a text, but not all the time.

It must be a setting in outlook but I don’t know what to change to stop this.

Is there anyone who can help.

It sounds like you need to change your MX records. Which is a complicated process and dependent on who hosts your mail.

Who do you use for email?

I am using Plus

Jim - by "PLUS", are you referring to YAHOO PLUS??..

No Plusnet the Yorkshire people advertising on the TV (part of BT I believe)
could this also be effected by look at mail on my I-Pad?

Not sure of Plusnet's set-up, but if you first have a look in your list of OTHER PROGRAMS (from your start menu), then see if Plusnet has a program file listed there, click on it (if it exists) to expand it, then see if there is a line similar to "UNINSTALL PLUSNET EMAIL" (or similar). If so, click it to start the uninstaller.

If the above doesn't help, phone Plusnet's customer services team - they should be able to talk you through it, or even remotely access your screen (with your permission) to uninstall it for you.

Finally, if you are using Outlook as your default mail program, click on the tab that allows you to ADD/REMOVE EMAIL PROFILES, then simply delete the Plusnet account, then set A.N. OTHER as your default email provider.

I would if I knew what my MX records are.
Where would I find those?
My laptop is fine my work computer is not, both on the same service provider and both running SM outlook.

Can you change your last post to a PM please Steven, it's absolutely full of e-mail links which is not a good thing on a forum.
