Battery Storage

Anyone got any tips for storing their spare batteries, to avoid getting the contacts dirty or shorting, etc.? I've got several boxes for AA/AAA batteries, but can't any on the web for my main batteries (D-LI109), and these don't fit into the AA boxes. I currently keep them wrapped in a bit of bubble wrap, but that's just a bit messy.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

I use a small Samsonite leather case that we once used for a compact camera. It fits two K-5 batteries perfectly.

I use old business card plastic boxes, can get 3 side on in these and I also reverse them so there's no chance of the contacts ever touching,

PM me your address and I'll post you one,
Chris

I do not know about UK, but here in France you can get plastic boxes specially tailored to hold, 4, 8 AA size batteries and also boxes for larger batteries in any handy store.

I keep one in the charger, and the other in a ziplock bag.
When I fly I do get asked to show the batteries occasionally to prove they are safe and not going to short. This solution has always been acceptable.

I did come across this but I haven't ordered one - looks neat though.

Thanks all for your suggestions.

Chris - That's a good idea, I have some old plastic business card boxes somewhere, so I'll dig one out.

Gwyn - thanks for the link.
