The new Samsung camera with evf,...apparently no pentax involvement. Pentax meanwhile has bee assing about with the X70 'bridge camera'...yet again the wong camera at the wrong time with minimal innovation...

is it my imagination or does that hotshoe have one more pin than the pentax set up, and the locking pin in a different position?

non compatible with pentax (or proof of a not yet released new model, if it is)?

so if different flash, then no kmount either....

but if there is a new pentax flash in the pipes....then who knows...
Fired many shots. Didn't kill anything.

Maybe pentax goes the other way and make a 645D with EVF, that would make the camera much more handable.

ps. is handable a word btw

It is the old Samsung Pro815's hot shoe and is not Pentax compatible.

no kmount.
if pentax kmount, then pentax flash, and pentax sister model....
stands to reason.

well since the registration distance must be much less than for pentax 'k' mount, that more or less dictates that it is NOT 'k' mount but something rather more modern and suitable to a camera like this.

What we really need to know is whether there will be complete adaptor hand-shake with 'k' mount lenses.

Samsung made it clear a while ago that they're looking to move away a little from "cloning" Pentax cameras, this looks like one of those products. I think we'll see both some interesting joint developments and some interesting lone projects from both pentax and Samsung... hopefully interesting times ahead

I wouldn't discount the Bridge cameras return either, for me a combination of good EVF and interchangable lenses would be welcome, although it's a little early in the development cycle yet
